Last summer, Navalny was nearly killed from Novichok poisoning in an alleged assassination attempt. After recovering in Germany, Navalny returned to Russia in February and was sentenced to two and a half years in jail for parole violations. Navalny went on a hunger strike to demand better medical care and access to his own doctor.
